Nea Athina

Solarpunk Athens · Worldbuilding · 2026

Athens never fell. It won a war we haven't fought yet. A solarpunk megacity where marble outlasts steel and fallen war machines are monuments.

Somewhere past our timeline, the machines rose, and lost — to a civilization that refused to treat its own tools as gods. What rose in their place is Nea Athina: a retro futurist megacity built on the wreckage of that war, where marble outlasts steel. Ancient Greece and solar-age engineering, fused into one architecture. Fallen war-machines sit in gardens, reclaimed by vines, kept as monuments instead of scars. The future got won. This is what peace looks like after the last mecha war.
